Rebuilding the wall

Our nation has lost its way. The church has lost its way. This is NOT the end of the story!

When I saw the “Vision of the Net” several weeks ago, I was encouraged and reminded that each of us as individuals and congregations all across this nation and the world have a specific place and function in the Kingdom. When we get in that place, using the gifts the Lord has given us and focused on the task He has put before us, an incredible synergy takes place. The Lord is connecting us to together and accomplishing His purpose as we are faithful to focus on the part He called us to. We get the privilege to be part of His Kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

I pray we have eyes to see and ears to hear who we are and where we belong so we will do what He has called us to do.

I was recently led to read the book of Nehemiah again. Nehemiah means; comforted by the Lord and also repentance, hmm. When Nehemiah led the rebuilding of the wall of Jerusalem, he delegated groups of people according to their expertise over certain parts of the wall. As each person and group focused on their part the wall was rebuilt. Ridicule, discouragement and persecution tried their best to stop them. Nehemiah was a man of courage and was unmoved. Rebuilding the wall around Jerusalem, along with its gates, needed to be accomplished before worship, righteousness and law were restored.

I decree over you now that you are strong and courageous and that your faith will not fail!

Anything worthy to be accomplished for the Kingdom of Heaven on earth will be resisted by the domain of darkness. Do not lose heart and grow weary in well doing, in due time we will reap, Gal. 6:9. In the world we will have tribulation but take courage, Jesus has overcome the world, John 16:33. This is not the time to cower in fear nor be distracted with the cares of the world. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all our physical needs will be taken care of, Matt. 6:33. That is a promise from Jesus Himself! Seek first our own kingdom and all our needs and desires and we will stay in a cycle of want and need. The choice is ours. The grace of God is available to live the life He has ordained for us to live and His blessing is already on it. The blessing of God awaits us. Let’s step into it!

The decree of the Lord – “You have not been given a spirit of fear, but of love, power and a sound mind”!
